I specialise my portraits in coloured pencil, and using only the highest quality materials, I create detailed drawings from your own photos. I am really proud to say that many hours of work go in to each of my portraits ensuring you are left with the perfect tribute to be cherished for years to come.
Your pet portrait is drawn by hand from reference photographs provided by you. A general rule for photographs is "The best photograph creates the best portraits"
Sharpness - A high resolution photo will contain more detail for me to draw all the finer details. Blurry photos will result in vague and indistinct portraits.

Lighting - Photographs are best taken in natural light. Believe it or not cloudy skies are the best for photographing your pet! Strong sunshine and artificial lighting cause strong harsh shadows as well as overbearing highlights. These don't translate well in a portrait, if you have a flash try and turn it off.

Perspective - Photographs of your pet are best taken at your pets height. Photos that are taken from above or below can create an unflattering angle.

Following these tips will ensure you get a beautifully detailed portrait. Sadly for pets that have passed away photographic options are sometimes limited. I will endeavour to create the best possible drawing that I can.

All of my portraits are produced using light fast coloured pencils on acid free artist paper.
​Prices are determined by size and are for only one pet in a portrait. Smaller paper sizes do not accommodate more than one pet in a portrait as this prevents me from capturing all of the details I would like.
My portraits are usually only the head/neck but I am happy to capture full body portraits. The sizes that are listed below are based on paper sizes. All portraits are created within a good size of the paper. Postage is included within the price. All postage within the UK is next day delivery. Portraits are wrapped in strong cardboard and bubble wrap for a safe and secure postage. I can also deliver to you if you are in the area of Berkshire.

A 20% non refundable fee is required at the time of booking The remaining balance is due on completion of the portrait.
